Burks Elementary School

Director of Putnam County Schools joins Burks Elementary Principal Heather Tinch and Assistant Principal Diana Cook in announcing the adoption of the school by several businesses and organizations. The following businesses and organizations pledged to adopt and support our school:

These businesses joined our existing Adopters: Monterey Methodist Church and the One Bank. 

Judge Shawn Fry was there to officiate the ceremony. Other participants included Amy New of the Chamber of Commerce, Monterey Mayor Alex Garcia, Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter, Putnam County Clerk Wayne Nabors, and other respected members of the community. Teachers, Staff, and students joined the ceremony. The Burks Band and Chorus also performed at the ceremony. 

We greatly appreciate these organizations and businesses for their kindness toward our school. With their help, we can work toward our goal to Engage, Inspire and Achieve!
